Honor Prep runs a dual-language immersion model, so a family’s first question is rarely what the test scores are. It is closer to whether their child will be taught in a language they can help with at home.
The previous site answered neither, and the enrollment path ran through a form most parents abandoned on a phone. A charter school also has to satisfy two readers who want opposite things: the state requires compliance documents to be posted and findable, and a parent deciding where to send their five-year-old wants none of that on the way in. Both have to live on the same site without either burying the other.
Seven pages, designed and built by the same person. The enrollment path was rebuilt for a phone, because that is where most families start, and the immersion model is explained in plain language, including how much of the day is taught in each language.
Compliance documents stay findable for the state without standing between a parent and the answer they came for. Staff, news and the calendar are the school’s to update, with no call to us. The photography throughout is the school’s own, used with permission, rather than stock classrooms.
