A website their community could actually trust.

The Association of Mexicans in North Carolina had a site that wasn’t bringing anyone in. We rebuilt it in Webflow, and inquiries went up 3.5×.

The challenge

AMEXCAN has served Latino communities in eastern North Carolina for more than 20 years. The website hadn’t kept up with them.

It was dated, not mobile friendly, and slow, so the people who did find it struggled to get anywhere once they arrived. Navigation was unclear, the forms did not work, and the whole thing ran on service providers that got in the way rather than helping.

It also did not represent the organization. Two decades of work, and neither the mission nor the impact came through. The newsletter sat stagnant, and the internal team could not make a simple update without outside help. The numbers said the same thing: roughly four contact inquiries a month, on a list that was not growing.

What we did

We started with the part nobody sees. The site is built so it can be found in the first place, because inquiries do not rise if nobody lands on the page. Then we rebuilt the contact path around completion rather than decoration: short, clear, bilingual, and placed where someone actually decides to reach out.

Every submission routes itself to the right person without staff triage, and giving works in the page, one-time or monthly, without sending anyone off to a third-party checkout. The whole thing is in Webflow, so the AMEXCAN team publishes without calling us.

What happened

Contact inquiries rose 3.5×. Newsletter signups went from zero to about 17 a month. Those are the two numbers AMEXCAN cared about, and they moved because the site stopped losing people who had already decided to get in touch.
